About My Work:
My client Riley was looking for a haircut that felt like them and that was easy to manage and maintain. They were also looking for a cut that would grow into something they could enjoy as time went on. It was important for me to take their desires, lifestyle and shared experiences into account when approaching this haircut on them.
Before cutting I used a dime size amount of soft clay pomade when the hair was freshly washed to give control, texture and grit without the sticky feel. Using the
Feather Styling Razor, I then sectioned the hair in its natural flow, carving the weight out but leaving just enough for visual depth.
When the refinement portion of the haircut was complete, I finished it off with 1/2 dime size amount of pomade mixed with 1:1 light weight water soluble hair oil to seal the style with manageable versatility, being intentional and mindful in every step until the end.
