This haircut was completed without using any clippers. The top section I cut the hair completely using the Feather Styling Razor fitted with a Standard Blade. Holding the Styling Razor at 90 degrees, I cut in 1 cm pie sections from crown to fringe to create large amounts of texture. I like to balance the middle of the razor handle on my middle finger and control the blade with my index finger, clamping the hair in the middle of my thumb and the blade, removing hair by pulling in an upwards motion. On the sides I used scissor over comb and sculpting techniques to cut the length down similar to a #2 clipper guard. When styling the hair, I rough-dried the hair and lightly straightened with a flat iron to help with some separation, and finished with a grooming clay.
