This client wanted something more versatile/soft look but still something somewhat edgy. I used both the Feather Plier Razor and the Feather Styling Razor for this look - the Plier to take out weight and the Styling Razor for detailing. I knew immediately that I wanted to redistribute the weight from the sides to the top and keep a little length in the back for a nice silhouette. I did two sections from the crown of the head combing the front part forward and the rest back. I took vertical sections all throughout the back making them short to long so the shorter pieces stayed at the crown. I used the shortest layer in the back and used that as my guide for the front, again going short to long so length was left around the face. I left around the ears a little softer so they were still cut out but not like a traditional barber cut. Once it was dry, I did some fine tuning with the Styling Razor to soften all of the edges and make it more piecey.
