The Feminine Crop Collection features diverse short hair statement looks. Photo #1-Joelle (purple hair): I cut a round shape with a Feather Plier Razor to keep texture soft and prevent build up of too much volume. I kept the shape close to the head without cutting everything super short; removing weight with a razor was the perfect technique. I kept the razor strokes fairly open for a softer line, then channeling the razor tip to create some more intense separation. Photo #2-Karina (green highlights): Her super thick hair gets more stiff as it gets shorter. By using the Feather Styling Razor, I achieved a solid shape (not too solid). I used a more closed razor stroke to keep shape more full, but took out weight by fillet-cutting longer sections to evenly remove weight across sections. Then I did a channel-cutting technique with a straight scissor to introduce piecey-ness and distinct separation. The asymmetric bold color placement in the bangs plus an asymmetric over cutting to expose that color completed the visually striking effect. Photo #3-Sunshine (curls): I did an undercut by using clippers on the shorter, underneath sections.The top section only blends in the back at the occipital bone, then gradually increases in length moving toward the bang section. I initially cut the top with a straight razor to make sure the blend was smooth (no inconsistencies). I used the Feather Plier Razor to remove weight on the last 2 inches of each section (light, airy ends).Hair is parted on either side, combed forward or back.
