For this look I wanted to create a "shullet" that would create a more full look for the client's fine/low density hair while exposing the face framing color. I started by clipping up all the length from the ear back to work on the face framing first. Starting with a 1" vertical section along the hairline, I use my razor filled with a Feather Plier Blade to carve out the fringe length, disconnecting at the cheekbone to fall along the jawline. I continued with 1" vertical sections overdirecting forward and slightly up, carving out the remainder of the fringe and framing. Once that is finished, I move to the back section of the hair. I begin in the crown and take an inverted triangle section, holding it at 180 degrees and remove needed length to create my guide. From there I cut square layers on each side. I use a longer stroke on the hair along the parietal ridge to allow for extra movement and volume. Once the layers in the back are complete, I round out the length to slightly connect the front and back. Look is styled with a salt lotion and diffused for maximum texture and fullness.
