I loved cutting this dreamy V bang mullet! It's soft and strong at the same time. I used the Feather Plier Razor and Feather Plier Blades for the whole shape. I love this tool in particular because the versatility of the blade allows me to create both really soft lines and also really clean lines that have impact. For this shape, I layered the sides of the hair to sit closer to the head with a forward graduation technique with large strokes, and I left lots of tendrily bits in place on the ends for movement and to keep the look more lived in. From the crown through to the ends I layered the hair to mirror the head shape loosely, elevating pie shaped sections and cutting with large strokes from shorter in the crown, to longer through to the ends. Wherever I noticed thicker pockets or bands of density, I made gentle slices to remove some weight. This client had a finer texture so all the weight removal was super seamless, soft and not overdone. The fringe is the feature of this cut and I cut from each temple to the center of the forehead using a smaller stroke to keep the line strong, and I removed just a tiny bit of weight where I saw some inconsistencies in the line, choosing to keep everything up front more powerful. This look is hand styled with some salt jelly, hair balm and a diffuser.
