70s-Inspired Soft Shag

This 70s-inspired soft shag was executed by first creating a medium-length fringe, carving out the weight throughout her highly dense straight hair. Using the fringe as a guide for the rest of the haircut, I carried the fringe length into the crown, connecting the fringe length and crown layers, then connecting the crown layers to the rest of the haircut. My model had no layers prior to this haircut, so I removed a lot of hair and weight, leaving her with tons of movement which she was previously lacking. Tons of texture and so much style! The fringe and face framing bits highlight her best features - her eyes, cheekbones and smile! I loved creating this look. This has been my favorite shape/style to razor cut for a while now and I find it so versatile especially when using my Feather Styling Razor! I'm love cutting shags, mullets and pixie and cutie fringe moments. I'm so pumped to start working with the Feather Plier Razor in the near future and see how the razor allows me even more creative freedom.
