If You’re Everything to Everyone, You’re Nothing to Anyone

In today’s world, you can’t be everything to everyone. Instead, it’s a good thing to specialize. Specialization helps to define what you’re known for so you can be the go-to guy or go-to girl for whatever service you give. For example, Ivan Zoot is known as the Clipper Guy. He’s known for doing short men’s haircuts with clippers. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to do anything else, but it sets him apart so that he’s known for something. Specializing is especially useful in a crowded world where there are so many of the ‘same’ thing. What you offer as an individual should cater toward your target market and that target market should not be everyone.
