My client was looking to remove a ton of length while keeping a couple of rat tail braids. Something soft and wispy, but with structure. I used my Feather Styling Razor to create a shattered a-line perimeter starting at the nape of the neck to just a couple inches below the chin. I used vertical graduation up until the occipital bone and concave layers from the bottom of the crown to the apex. Everything in front of the mastoid process is forward graduation. The whole haircut is heavily texturized with my razor, to accentuate natural texture and create a lighter and edgier look. I used a styling balm, sea salt spray and pomade on the ends to style the hair.
