My client’s goal was a 60s mod cut that would be easy to maintain and does not require much styling. For this look, I started removing the excess hair with my 7” shears, then sectioned the hair in its natural flow. I started at the fringe area with the Feather Styling Razor and Feather Styling Razor Standard Blades using a pinch, twist and slice technique to create softness and a piecey look. The sides were cut in vertical sections using the fringe as a guide. The crown was cut in pivotal sections, and the back in vertical sections using the Feather Plier Razor, carving “C” shapes for soft texture and movement. I used a salt spray to hand style and diffuse. Once dried, I added a powder to fluff it up.
