My client Faye came in looking to revive her grown out bixie cut. We’ve played around with bobs and shags that accentuated her natural wave and coarse texture but she wanted something more low maintenance and wispy. I created this look with the Feather Texturizing Styling Razor, first establishing the length just past her hairline with a squareness that replicated a bob. I added round layers vertically to give the pixie effect in the back then over directing from the apex to create a fringe. I wanted a whimsical faerie feeling in the front, keeping the face framing pieces long but shattered. Using my razor allowed me to remove tons of weight which is crucial for Faye’s hair texture. I used a salt cream in wet hair to diffuse then finished with a spray wax for extra hold.
