I created the ‘Soft Gamine Shape’ for my client. JATAI Blade Glide prepped hair for the cut. I chose the Feather Texturizing Styling Razor and Nape & Body Razor to achieve a soft rounded shape, with a gentle suggestion of weight and width in all the right spots to be flattering. I started with the central vertical part line in the back; vertical to diagonal forward sections through the sides were utilized to shape hair to finger length, using the Feather Blade and a ‘shaving motion’ on the inside of the finger for a ‘tight to the head’ uniform structure (leave some length projected at the recession). A uniform sculptured shape was achieved through the top by starting with a central vertical section and cutting to the desired length using the Feather Styling Razor; this established the length through the top using a traditional razor cutting motion.
