About My Work:
I created this bombshell mini shag using my favorite
Feather Plier Razor. My client, Azusa, has fine hair with a lot of density. I wanted to give her volume at the crown to create a beautiful head shape. I used my razor to carve internal inverted layers for ultimate fullness without the need for complicated styling. To create an inversion I start at the crown about two inches away from the head and work my way up using light feathery strokes. This keeps the layers airy and “invisible”, not chunky, leaving just the right amount of weight through the perimeter to keep her fine hair looking its fullest. I love how all of the curvy bits frame her delicate features. The Feather Plier allows me to carve this customized shape that is edgy while still being soft.
