About My Work:
The client asked for a stylish update, but as a nurse needed to keep it ponytail friendly length. After removing the dead ends I concentrating on thickening and texturizing the existing bangs, and decided on an edgier “Crescent Moon” shape instead of softer curtain bangs. Using the
Feather Styling Razor I took finger tip wide sections and carved tiny V shapes starting shorter in the middle and carefully rounding towards the hairline. I then took small short to long horizontal sections with the
Feather Plier Razor to create texture and longevity in the bangs so they won't grow out super heavy quickly.
I finished the front framing and “bits” with the Feather Plier Razor using a longer paneling strokes and 1” sections pulled forward so the shorter hair could intentionally fall around the face without looking stringy. The look was styled with a salt spray and a light cream, diffused gently with cupping hand styling and then finished the bangs with light hold styling cream.
