About My Work:
I love using my
Feather Styling Razor because of the imperfect, intentionally "messy" look it helps create. That piecey effect really complements the vivid colors of each of these looks.
Look #1 Rainbow Shag with Peek-A-Boo Undercut: This cut was designed to give my client room to play. It features an undercut that gives an edgy look when worn up or pulled back, but also looks beautiful worn down. I used a Feather Styling Razor to cut the fringe first then worked my way back. With colorful styles like this, I typically do a rough cut first, then the color, and finalize the cut at the end, using my razor to texturize by removing weight and making it more piecey.
Look #2 Prism Wolfcut: I created a lot of movement around the face using my Feather Styling Razor and
Feather Styling Razor Standard Blades to first slide cut the front, then cutting into the sections to give that piecey effect and distinct separation. The bold color placement in the bangs plus an asymmetric over cutting to expose that color completed the visually striking effect.
Look #3 Colorblocked Wolfcut: For this look I wanted the silhouette to be strong but still with some softness. After determining how much thickness I wanted at the front, I used my Feather Styling Razor to carve out the face framing and fringe, and to carve out layers around the head. I finished with some detail work, going through each section and carving out any bulk for a final shaggy and textured look. The stronger frame and soft movements of this haircut really highlights dramatic colorblocking.
