I created this soft layered haircut using a Feather Styling Razor to achieve airy texture and seamless movement. The key elements of this cut are weight removal and gentle shaping. I used techniques like slicing and slithering throughout, and played with both short and long strokes to customize the texture. Her hair was really thick, so slicing helped me pinpoint exactly where I wanted to remove weight and open up the shape while still keeping it soft. I love using the Styling Razor because it gives me so much versatility in one tool. It allows me to remove weight, add movement, and create softness all in a really fluid way. It’s also great for detail work and tailoring the shape to the individual. Especially with thicker hair like my client had, it lets me be super intentional about where I build texture or take it away. The final look feels lived-in and effortlessly cool. It’s all about softness, flow, and natural texture!
